Privacy Policy
Effective October 30, 2026
WeHold is a free website and app published by WeHold LLC, a Tennessee limited liability company. This policy explains what information WeHold handles and where it goes. The short version: no account, no tracking, no ads.
What we collect
WeHold LLC does not collect, store or sell personal information. There are no user accounts, no analytics or advertising trackers, and no cookies set by WeHold.
What stays on your device
Your ZIP code, district, stance answers and the details you type into a letter (such as your name, town, email or phone) are saved only in your own browser's local storage so the app remembers them next time. They are never sent to WeHold LLC. You can erase them at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.
Information sent to other services
A few features need to look something up with an outside service. When you use them, your browser contacts that service directly:
- U.S. Census Bureau Geocoder: when your ZIP code crosses district lines, the street address you enter is sent to the Census Bureau to find your congressional district.
- Google Civic Information API: when you look up your polling place, the address you enter is sent to Google to find voting locations and times.
- Your officials' contact forms: letters are sent by you, through each office's own website, phone line or mail. WeHold does not send or keep a copy.
Those services have their own privacy policies. WeHold LLC does not receive the results.
Hosting
The site is hosted on GitHub Pages and served through Cloudflare. Like most web hosts, these providers may keep standard technical logs, such as IP addresses and the time of a visit, for security and operations. WeHold LLC does not use those logs to identify visitors.
Children
WeHold is meant for a general audience and does not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
